The Beachcomber Hot Tub story is a humble, yet powerful one. Back in 1978, Beachcomber Hot Tubs was founded by Keith & Judy Scott. Since then, the company has developed into a global brand that always puts its customers first.
It’s lifeblood, the hot tubs they manufacture, have the same amazing quality and attention-to-detail now, as they did when the company was just Keith, Judy, and a small group of friends working in a garage. Today, on top of selling award-winning hot tubs, Beachcomber also distributes amazing accessories and water care products worldwide.
How Beachcomber got its start…
A hard worker at heart, Keith Scott was initially inspired to start up Beachcomber by his parents. He saw how hard they worked and had an innate drive to win and succeed in life. From there, he learned the value of quality and outstanding service in creating lasting relationships with customers.
After working in several different jobs and companies, Keith noticed an opportunity, an opportunity that would push him to start Beachcomber Hot Tubs. Keith realized that there was a gap in quality in the then fast-growing hot tub industry. With his wife Judy by his side, Keith started the journey with the goal of transforming, not only the hot tub industry, but also how the world looked at relaxation. He was hellbent on making something cheaper and better, and started Beachcomber Hot Tubs with a goal to do just that.
What’s Made It Successful…
The hot tubs of course! It’s really that simple. Beachcomber builds the best, most durable hot tubs in the world. They’re able to do this because they spare no expense or effort during the manufacturing process. Starting with the hot tub shells, all the way down to the bolts they use for the piping, nothing is ever overlooked.
In the beginning, Beachcomber built only portable hot tub models. Initially, they followed the standard construction model of housing all the complicated piping and motorized equipment inside the cavity. This continues, however not in all their hot tubs. A Beachcomber hot tub with all the components inside the cavity of the shell is today called a LEEP model.
How they Started a Hot Tub Revolution…
In the early 80’s, Beachcomber made a decision that would completely change the course of hot tub manufacturing. They came up with the idea of housing the power equipment of the hot tub outside of the hot tub cavity shell. The reasoning behind this was simple, by moving the power equipment from inside the hot tub shell and into the step cavity, they could fully insulate the 4 walls of the interior of the hot tub. This allowed them to create hot tub that were much, much more energy efficient than anything in the hot tub industry at the time. This is how Beachcomber helped save its customers millions of dollars on their energy bills.
A Bright Future
Beachcomber’s future is bright all because of their commitment to excellence and thirst for constant innovation. Every model produced is constructed by hand from within their Surrey, BC factory by a team of local craftspeople and engineers who are committed to maintaining the durability, comfort, quality, and value that only the name Beachcomber can represent.
Remember, every time you get into a Beachcomber hot tub to relax with your loved ones, you’re stepping into a handcrafted piece of art.
